Why is everyone honking? Here's why.

So I live in a big city.

MUM-BAI.

This city is big. I already mentioned that.

Just warming you up.

Ok, back to what my neurons meant to dispel.

Cars.

They are everywhere.

Tempos and buses and tuk-tuks too.

Mostly, this is a boon because?

Helps in moving people and stuff like furniture and computers and whey protein most important.

But,

Drivers need to go easy on the honking!

Everywhere you go in the city...peep-peep poop-poop at times peeeeeeeeeeeeeep at other times pooooooooooooooooop

Also, some even invest in getting fancy peep-peep.

Constant exposure to Peep-Peep does what?

Well, I am no neuroscientist (but a big fan of Sam Harris)

But, I can say this will 78.52% assurity that,

Being exposed to constant peep-peep, activates that part of our brain which is responsible for detecting danger and giving us the sense that, we shouldn't be going there. Like a dark cave and stuff

So when we navigate on the streets our minds constantly dabble in the Danger-No danger, Danger-No danger, Danger - No danger patterns of thoughts.

Sometimes we are of it.

Other times we ignore because we are in a rush to reach someplace important.

Regardless, the dent to our subconscious is inevitable.

The stress keeps adding up from within

and then?

and then,

A release becomes imperative.

If not monitored a release can happen in the form of something destructive

Examples of the above line,

Smoking ciggies

Smoking other things

scrolling on Insta, dopa release

marinating masala over negative thoughts,

and so on...

So if you are a reader of my blog and own a vehicle, promise me that you will go easy on the honking. You are indirectly helping the planet and its humble confused inhabitants.

The best way to remember what you have read

Looking at the stack of books piled up on the study shelf, I am left to wonder, gosh! How much of the things I have read do I ACTUALLY remember? Curbing the existential anxiety, I guess the best way to remember what you have read is to show a keen interest in what you are reading. In the moment, how in tune are you with the words that you gleen over. Is the author making sense? Are you able to connect with the printed ink? Are you circling around some lines more often trying to relate it with previous readings Otherwise, why read that stuff in the first place. The above line is both a lesson in rigid thinking and hyper-practical. I am a habitual reader and a habitual forgetter. Forgetting things all the time gives me used to give me a sour sense of remorse. And then one day, over a conversation with a friend, he suggests, why don't you instead think of it as "You learn something new every time, every day". he then goes to add, "Fine! You may not rememb...

Happy hormones

Are there happy hormones and sad hormones in our body? Ya. But sad hormones are nothing but the body not being able to produce certain essential hormones that eventually F#$Ks the body up. That's just sad. More on happy hormones now, Ya. Serotonin, Dopamine, Oxytocin, Endorphins, Norepinephrine, Adrenalin These are the so-called happy hormones, or hormones that seem to regulate our happiness. When we exercise we release a mix of Endorphins and adrenaline into our bloodstream. We start feeling like Jason Statham from the movie Crank. Dopamine is released when we achieve something. Like right now I am feeling mini droplets of dopamine being registered in my brain as I finish writing each para each sentence each word. Oxytocin is best described by the bonding of mother to her child. Even other mammals other than humans (the most greedy mammal) are said to be releasing oxytocin. Serotonin, contrary to popular belief is actually produced in the stomach rather th...

Depression, you cool thing!

Thank you Nike. For? For, "Just Do it" Or In my case, Just Write it. or Just Write. W ell why did this blog begin with thanking Nike? Am I a shoe to you? Nike for long has been running ad campaigns with that said slogan.  It's so brutally simple ....  Just....do...it! Well, that's the thing,  For people with depression they can't just seem to Just...do...it! They are more in the "why to just do it?" " Give me one reason I should do it, knowing very well that I will fail"...I will fail anyways sorta mindset. (Even while wearing Nike shoes, just FYI) Why I say so?  Just ask around the most depressed person in your group/family. Tell them to do something fun, something new, something interesting, most often then not you might just get a *sad sign* from them Hey wait, have I been depressed?  Who knows? was I just footage khao-ing? ( eating footage, screentime) Why a...
